Kascarade are a 5 piece band formed in August 2010 that hail from Bradford, West Yorkshire.


Kascarade’s sound draws on their wide range of influences from the 1960’s – 1990’s rock and pop genres.  The audience can go from experiencing up tempo, beat driven tracks to slower paced acoustic/piano combo’s back to back, making for an especially varied and melodic live sound.

Adam Brankin – Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals

Richard Royle – Drums/Percussion

Martin Horton – Keyboard/Synth

Past gigs and support

The band have played around the country over the past three years since their inception and have had relative success touring, performing, and supporting with acts and musicians including Simon Fowler (Ocean Colour Scene), Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets), Proud Mary, The Hoosiers, Chris Helme (The Seahorses), Scars on 45 and the Levellers.

TV and radio

The band’s music has been played on ITV 1 as part of the programme ‘The People’s Medal’ which featured Kascarade’s lead singer Matthew Milnes.  The track used was ‘Northern Reign’ for the show which was produced by Wall To Wall Media Ltd.  Kascarade’s music has also been played on BBC Radio on the BBC Introducing show, as well as reaching worldwide audiences via Jonathan Leigh Rosen’s ‘Lopsided World of L’ radio show in 2013 and 2014.


The band have been active in supporting causes, hosting successive fundraisers for the ‘Blue Lamp Foundation’ founded by the late PC David Rathband and performing at gigs to try help raise awareness and save some of their local heritage such as the Bradford Gaumont which was a venue favoured by The Beatles.

Dance music tie-up

Kascarade at the end of 2013 have decided to pursue the mixing of their track ‘Rise Again’ as a dance single with the mix being produced by Hardino/Harry Hard who has a long career in the dance music scene from bootlegs to a UK Chart No 1, he is currently one half of dance music production duo Morlando, having previously being known for his work for All Around The World records as half of the Friday Night Posse.
